The global compulsion for results orientation and operational efficiency has driven project management from being a special managerial activity specialized towards the management of specific "enterprise-type" tasks to become a decisive managerial paradigm of organizations nowadays. Project management is not only a fundamental tool for implementing complex tasks but also a means of carrying out organizational and business strategies as well as being an operational philosophy. The most critical tasks and developments of corporations and state and public administrative bodies are realized as projects. AAM project management and project financing services assist the strategic and organizational ambitions of our clients with practical methodologies, tools and integrated support solutions.
Experts and project managers of AAM are at the disposal of our clients with practical experience and know-how amassed in the course of conducting more than 2500 projects for nearly 300 domestic and international organizations. Our references range from small and medium value tender projects through major organization and IT development, public administration, procurement projects to giant infrastructure investments, in virtually every volume and profile segment. We developed the in-house methodological system linked to AAM project management and financing services on the basis of experience gained in the course of work carried out for the benefit of clients and the theoretical guidelines given in the following specialist literature: PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environment), Guide to PMBOK 2004 (Project Management Body of Knowledge) and The AMA (American Management Association) handbook of project management.
The project management competence of our experts and consultants is assessed and developed on the basis of IPMA (International Project Management Association) Competence Baseline v. 3.0. In our eyes, our declared commitment to the recognition and development of the profession of project management does not only mean the competence and skill-set development of our consultants. Programme Management support and quality control of projects linked to the utilization of the Schengen Fund
The preparation for Hungary's Schengen accession started in 2000 and resulted in the country joining the Schengen Area in 2007. The aim of the programme was to achieve compliance with Schengen requirements in several fields: legal harmonisation, training, equipment, reconstruction and building of infrastructure.
AAM was selected to provide client-side programme management support related to Hungary's accession to the Schengen zone and to effectively utilize the available funds. As a result of AAM's contribution, 99.9% of the available funds have been successfully called on, amounting to approximately EUR 140 million. AAM gained relevant experience in the subject through the 24 man years invested in this cooperation.
The activities accomplished by AAM included: development of the organisational structure; providing overall programme management support for the management bodies; provision and timely update of project management tools; participation in the EU-compatible public procurement procedures and provision of training experts.
In the field of Project management and financing services
-
Strategic project management. We assist our clients in answering strategic questions surrounding their programmes/projects. The fulfilment of organizational and business strategies depends on implementation of programmes/projects within the deadline, within budget and to the correct quality standard. For this reason, a project management structure integrated into the organizational or business strategies, a transparent PM governance structure and an optimized project portfolio are of fundamental significance. The project management and financing services of AAM support our clients in establishing these very factors.
-
Project consultancy. We provide practical methodologies, procedures and tools to ensure the successful implementation of our clients’ programmes/projects. The success of any programme/project assumes correct handling of numerous factors and situations. This is why AAM- by establishing integrated project structures, processes and procedures, and by providing practical methodologies, and tools adjusted to the specific demands - is able to assist its clients in the preparation, planning, implementation and assessment of programmes/projects. One special form of our project consultancy services is project management-focused personal managerial support, which helps senior executives of our clients in the practical detail of project management.
-
Organizational operation and project culture development. We offer support to our clients in developing an organizational operation and culture appropriate for the implementation of the programmes/projects. As far as organizations are concerned, besides carrying out risky or challenging developments - whether, for example, it is the launch of an ERP system, the opening of a new business segment, or the merger of two organizational units - the project operation becomes all the more determining also in the implementation of day-to-day tasks. An increasing number of our clients are consciously integrating the culture of project management into their operation. The competence development services of AAM integrated project management provide help in the establishment of the necessary organization, operational mode, knowledge and skills by working out made-to-measure project management processes, procedural rules and tools, by selecting and introducing project portfolio management IT systems and by arranging training courses.
-
Project/programme management. We provide our clients with professional project management capabilities to ensure the profitable realization of their programmes/projects. Frequently, companies and institutions of state administration do not have the appropriate in-house staffing levels and/or skill sets to manage major investments because of their periodical nature and/or professional specifications. Within the framework of AAM project management and financing services we are able to supply our clients with highly qualified project managers, project and financing experts with domestic and international experience, as well as project teams operating according to best professional practice standards in supporting operative programme and project management tasks. Using the considerable experience we have accumulated in the field of corporate and state administrative PMO (Project / Programme Management Office) services we are able to offer clients assistance in the realization - through an entire lifecycle - of development programmes and projects.
-
Project audit and quality control. Where commissioned by a client we conduct independent project supervision and audits, and support implementation of projects with continuous quality control. The auditing or continuous monitoring by outside experts of programmes/projects represents significant added value for organizations because the discovery and resolution of numerous problems is only possible as a result of these processes. We conduct independent supervision of ongoing and completed projects from the methodological and organizational culture sides in the framework of project auditing activities. During the course of this process we build on our practical experience and the recommendations of internationally-recognized methodologies. AAM project management & financing services support our clients in ensuring constant methodological, HR quality, success and efficiency of projects being run by outside organizations.
-
Management of tenders and European Union projects. We offer our clients access to integrated fund sourcing and project management services. Virtually every organization in the Central-Eastern Europe region is interested in the financing, from European Union funds, of its own enterprises, as well as developments and investments affecting its own sector. Access to and utilization of EU funding is conditional on an understanding and application of specific tendering process, related methodologies and sets of tools. Using the appropriate tools and methods AAM project management & financing services assist our clients in drawing up European Union tender applications, defining, planning and preparing projects, working out the financing construction, obtaining funding and the contractual, profitable utilization of grants.
-
Selection and procurement. We provide support for our clients in the selection and procurement of tools and services connected to their developments and investments. Very often a critical part of the implementation of programmes/projects and the utilization of European Union funding is the selection of a suitable supplier or the correct, fruitful conducting of related public procurement procedures. AAM project management and financing services assist our clients in selecting the best (given our competence system, typically informatics) supplier, in the management of procurement and public procurement procedures from the preparatory phase (assessment of needs, market research, planning, invitations to tender) right through to contracting.
Our experts working in the services field have extensive practical experience covering several industries and specialist areas in domestic and international environments. They have acquired broad professional knowledge and practical methodological know-how in the state and public administration, finance, energy and public utilities, telecommunications, transport, education, building industry, manufacturing and commerce sectors.
